Our leading lady

Yup, she got the lead role: Cady Heron in Mean Girls, Jr. When it was all over, her theater teacher gave her the paper plate award for being "Fearless," because 7th graders don't typically agree to a role like that. We continue to be amazed by her, and the teachers who cheer her on for being so bold. 

 

Bring a child to work day!

This girl is a natural. Got up the guts to ask a question at the kids' press briefing that she came up with entirely on her own ("What happens if a drone hovers over the Pentagon? Do you shoot it down?). We topped off the day with Subway, ice cream and some screen time while mom worked. 

Greeting veterans at the DC airport

 Xman's volunteer group goes to Dulles to welcome veterans to DC. Not a dry eye in the airport.
