Just as everyone started to wind down after the holidays, Thumper turned 2. We celebrated with a giant cake, 9 out of her 10 cousins (we miss you Cody!) and a brand new party dress. She wasn't so sure about everyone singing Happy Birthday while looking right at her (it is kind of unsettling if you're not used to it, I suppose), but she loved her cake and gift (princess shoes and a doll), and had a blast with the cousins. Happy birthday sweet girl! 
It's Christmas pageant time at the preschool where our angel stood so proud and happy to be singing in front of her family with a special guest appearance from Grammy. The principal said to me as I was leaving of my Kit Kat: 'There's just something so special about her. She's so sweet, and so 'with it.' She's something else." I couldn't agree more. 
This year, we hit the sing-a-long with neighbors. Xman was old enough to go on stage this year as a back up singer to the Marine Corps band. He had a spot directly behind the band (green sweater, khaki pants, santa hat) so we couldn't see him well, but he was about as close to the president's band you can get! 
A big thanks to our friend Victoria, who loves making gingerbread houses with children. What a hobby! And another big thanks to Papa to putting up our Christmas lights!! 
Thanks to Mimi and Papa for coming out and showing the kids such love. We all felt very special.
