After the storm

Never can I remember a white Christmas in D.C. But here we are, perfectly snowed in with no place to go. Kids sledding and throwing snowballs, neighbors helping each other dig out their cars. Life is good.

The neighborhood Halloween parade

Apparently, Halloween here is a very big deal. A week in advance, all the kids in the neighborhood put on their costumes and parade down the street. Waiting for us at the end of the cul-de-sac was plenty of juice, cookies and even a magician. Not that I watched much. I have the attention span of, well, a bumble bee. (Oh and daddy, there was another boy dressed as a bee! Who said a bee costume wasn't very manly?!)

The Great Pumpkin

Sunday was a glorious fall day. We drove down Rte 7 and found a pumpkin patch with a small petting farm. It was mostly chickens and a couple of surly goats with a sign warning that they bite. But it was still a beautiful day.

The nursery

Finally, my mom gave me a proper nursery. Thanks for the help painting, Nana.

Last night...

My parents brought me to a bar. It was only for 15 minutes or so but I think the girls dug me.

Nana and Papa come to town

Last month, Nana and Papa came to help us with the new house. Papa worked through the night to tile the foyer and it looks beautiful. Thanks Papa. You're the best. (Nana too for keeping Aidan busy and helping paint!).

My first haircut - a bit traumatic to be sure but everyone seemed pleased by the eventual outcome.
