What does the East Coast "snow bomb" mean for DC? Just really, really cold temperatures that prevent school buses from running on time. So these girls get to stay home today, play dress-up and get their braided by their babysitter.

This girl has turned 4!
She sang in her school's Christmas pageant and knew all the words to the songs. So far, what strikes me most about this little one is her imagination and grit. The other day she tied our kitchen chairs together with string and declared it her boat. Before that, she had taped together cardboard boxes from Costco to make a choo-choo train. Inspired by her favorite movie "Moana," she's declared herself a "wayfinder." There is no doubt in my mind she will find her way. And as she likes to tell me, "I will do it my ownself."
