It's been three years since we felt comfortable celebrating with a big party, and her heart was set on a game of laser tag. Her besties sang happy birthday to her in Spanish, they toasted her with fruit punch and one kindly adopted her little sister so she didn't feel left out. It was the perfect way to celebrate a 12-year-old who is sassy, smart and so very loved by anyone whose met her.
